We want to thank you all for the tremendous amount of support that you have given us since we first launched OnwardMobility. However, it is with great sadness that we announce that OnwardMobility will be shutting down, and we will no longer be proceeding with the development of an ultra-secure smartphone with a physical keyboard.

Please know that this was not a decision that we made lightly or in haste. We share your disappointment in this news and assure you this is not the outcome we worked and hoped for.

We are incredibly grateful to the team of seasoned professionals who worked tirelessly on this project and to each and every one of our loyal fans and partners who have supported us throughout this journey. It has been a pleasure to work with all of you and hear your comments and feedback.

2年ぶりにリアルで開催されたテクニカルショウヨコハマで発見したもの

写真を取り忘れてしまった！

去年はオンラインで開催、そして今年はリアルとオンライン。
そういえば、去年は運営が悪くてイラってしたことがあったなと。
それはともかくとして、今年は開催されたのでめでたしめでたし。
しかし、会場から出るにも、またQRコードがついた登録表をスキャンしないといけない。
トイレに行きたくて走っているのに。
これが運営のお願いとのことだった。
いや、それは問題あるだろうと。
何をそんなに監視したいんだ？って。

そんな中、知っている会社さんもあったり、妻の会社を知っている会社さんもいた。
そして、旧知の友が今は相談役をしている会社とちょっとお話ををしました。

皆さん、Appleが標準に入れているDTMアプリをご存知でしょうか？

DTM?

はい、デスクトップミュージックの略のアプリです。

その名もGarageBand ガレージバンド（通称「ガレバン」）です。

このアプリケーションの凄さは無料で提供されていて、ものすごく使いやすい。
更に、音楽だけではなく、ネットラジオ放送なども作れてしまいます。

The previous podcast No. 36 was about DNA preservation.
DNA preservation is much securer than cryogenic technology.
BTW, in the USA, if you were to be cryogenically “stored”, there’s no death certificate.
It means “YOU ARE NOT DEAD BUT PRESERVED”, but in real life, no one has yet come back and the companies which service it don’t guarantee the “preserved” to come back to life again.

This week’s episode is about NFT in the funeral business.
What is NFT?

日本のオンラインイベントの残念さ

コロナ禍の中でイベントがオンライン化しはじめたのが去年からだった。
私はおかげで海外へ行けなかったが、海外のイベントに自宅にいながら参加できるようになった。
しかも、すごいことに日程が重なっていても複数のイベントに参加できる。
これこそありがたいことはない。
今までは天秤に掛け、妥協せざるを得なかったのに。

同時に、NFDA（Nationa Funeral Directors Association）のイベントやInc.comの超有名人セミナー（しかも無料！）などを同時に参加ができた。

さて、日本はどうなっている？

まず、スタート時間があり、それまで出店者が誰なのか開示されていないことが多い。
10歩譲って、参加者はわかったけど、何を出展とかどういう内容のセミナーなのか不明なのも多い。
そんなのにおカネを出して参加したいか？

更に残念なのが、常にその時間帯で見れたりすることができないことが多い。
そうなると、あとから見たいと思う。
それが出来ない。

しかも、10時～17時とかの時間制限があったりする。
∑(ﾟДﾟ)ｴ!? オンラインだよね？
なんで24時間オープンさせないの？

なんで講演内容のビデオをずっと置いておかないの？
ビデオもパンフもなく、ただ開催の案内だけのPDFだったり。

How to preserve?
DNA degrades in time so data is important.
- BTW, the DNA degradation mechanism has not yet been understood.
